The Guidance Office serves to assist students in making plans after high school, college planning, academic testing, scheduling, maintaining transcripts, supporting students with personal and social issues, and much more.

Starting on Tuesday, March 9th, 2010, all Juniors in the Sate of Michigan will begin testing on the MME.  There are three days the MME will be taken:  March 9th, 10th, and 11th.   Testing will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude around 10:30 a.m.  Prior to 8:00, Juniors can stop by the cafeteria to eat.  Please encourage your student to do well, get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast!

Parents - be pro-active in your child's grades and attendance by going to "Parent Viewer" under the District Menu.  To sign in, you will need your child's 8-digit school I.D. number for both the username and password.  You can stay informed of their progress, check tardies and absences, and e-mail teachers.

Financial Aid - Seniors may begin filling out their FAFSA forms online beginning in January of 2010.  It is a good idea to get your PIN number right now.   Come in to the counseling office & Mrs. Malone can get you set up.

The 2010 Homer High School and Homer Area Community Foundation scholarships are due March 19 by 3:00 p.m. in the counseling office.   There are still scholarship packets available.

We have had many colleges come to visit Homer High School this past fall!   There may be a few more coming during the remainder of the school year.  Please click on the 'Read More' link to view our schedule of visits, then come in to the counseling office and sign up to attend.  Parents are always welcome!
