High & Middle School:

Coach Brya would like to remind all football players going into grades 7-12 about the football clinic next Tuesday and Wednesday. The clinic for grades 9-12 will take place between 4-5:30 p.m. The clinic for grades 7-8 will take place between 5:30-6:30 p.m. Both clinics will be on the practice fields and the cost will be $10.

Students that would like to sign up for a sports physical stop in the athletic office.

Kids Eat Free July 5^th – August 4, 2011, Monday – Thursday. The Michigan Department of Education Summer Food Service Program with Homer Community Schools announces the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program for Children. Free meals will be made available to children 18 years of age and under. Free meals will also be made available for persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a state or local public educational agency. The meals will be provided at the Homer Community Schools Cafeteria. Lunch will be served from 11:30 to 12:30 Monday – Thursday.

Attention all summer Driver Education Students: June students need to stop by Mr. Finch’s room and pick up a schedule for class and driving. July students need to pay off your money due as soon as possible so I can pass out July schedules.

Varsity track and field athletes please turn in your uniforms by the end of the week.

Reminder: Girls' JV/Varsity Summer Basketball starts June 14^th, at 6-8pm in the high school gym. Please let Coach Rayl know if you are able to attend team camp in July. See you there!

High School:

For last day: Today is 1st and 3rd hour exams....We will NOT be going to 4th hour...We will turn off the bells. Those students riding the buses will be dismissed around 10:45 and then once the last bus has left, we will ring the bell for the rest of the students...This should happen around 11:00.

The weight room will be closed before school during the last week of the school year. The weight room will remain open after school. The weight room will reopen in the morning on June 13th. The lifting schedule will be:

- Sophomore, Junior & Senior football players 7 - 8 a.m.

- Freshmen football players 8 - 9 a.m.

- All female athletes and male athletes of other sports 9 - 10 a.m.

Attention High Schoolers: Summer school information is available in the counseling office. If you earned an "E" in a course, you will need to re-take the course to recover your credit for graduation! To graduate on time, with your class, enroll in Homer High School summer school. Only serious inquiries need to sign up.

Middle School:

6^th – 8^th grades: Students interested in participating in Cross Country next school year, sign up in the middle school office.

Any 5^th and 6^th grade girls interested in practicing basketball sign up in the middle school office. Practice will be June 13^th – June 16^th from 10:00 to 12:00. There is no cost. If you have any questions contact Mr. Mallory.
